Warning: Monster Mama alert!

I was a very, very, very mean mom to Tim yesterday. Taking from the words of fellow homeschool mom Jen, I was a "monster mama."! Literally! (Believe me, I won't describe what happened in details for fear of you not reading my blog anymore! haha!)

I was so distressed by what happened that I posted about it on the ROCKERs Facebook page:

was a really really really really really mean Monster Mama today. Praying for the grace of healing, forgiveness, patience and selective memory loss (for my kids). Haay, pray for me please fellow ROCKERs! This Teacher Mama lost it today! Huhuhuhu

Thank God for the support of my fellow ROCKERs:

    • Anna Galeon-Policarpio That's ok Mommy Tina! That happens to me too. When it does, I close my eyes and call on to dear Mother Mary to forgive me and to help bring back my cool. I hug my child after that and ask for forgiveness.

  • It helped too that this was included in today's daily reflections from Kerygma Family:

    1st READING
We need never fear to come to Jesus no matter what wrong we may have done. As the Apostle Paul reminds Timothy, the very purpose of Jesus’ coming into our world was to save us, not to condemn us. In fact, as soon as we fall, we should immediately turn our hearts to Jesus and tell Him we are sorry and ask for His mercy. Then ask Him to fill us with His Holy Spirit again. The worst thing to do is to stay in our sin, feeling condemned and rejected by God and ourselves. That only gives sin and the devil more opportunities to keep us defeated.
    1 Timothy 1:15-17
15 Beloved: This saying is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. Of these I am the foremost. 16 But for that reason I was mercifully treated, so that in me, as the foremost, Christ Jesus might display all his patience as an example for those who would come to believe in him for everlasting life. 17 To the king of ages, incorruptible, invisible, the only God, honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

I read the reflection above right after I had replied to my fellow ROCKERs:

    • Tina Santiago Rodriguez Thank you dear fellow mommies. I am really moved and touched by your support and prayers! ♥ You ladies ROCK! ♥ God bless us all, Mama Mary pray for us! P.S. I did hug Tim and ask his forgiveness and even ask Rysse too (coz she saw me being mean to her brother!) and tried to "process" what had happened with him, why I got upset, etc. We both prayed together after too. Still, I still feel guilty. But I know God makes every day a chance to start anew! ♥

Thank You Lord indeed for reminding me that even if there is a "Monster Mama" lurking within me, Your grace and Mama Mary's intercession are more than enough for me!

P.S. Do you want to get similar support for those tough homeschool days? Or just any ordinary day? ;-) Pls. let me know if you want to be part of ROCKERS Philippines. You may e-mail me at teachermamatina@gmail.com or post on my Facebook page. Thanks! Godbless!

I think this also happened to my today. So I'm reading up books that I hope will help me handle myself and situations better. God forgives. So let's forgive ourselves. I'd like to think our children have moved on. ;)

Thanks for the comment Mommy Jade (is that right?!) ;-) Yes, God forgives and so do our kids. I think it's us moms who need to learn to forgive ourselves more. ;-) I have also had the chance to go to Confession and it was sooo refreshing! :-) Do you have a blog about homeschooling too? Would love to check it out! Godbless always!
